To open a key fob for a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
, remove the internal key and then use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry the two halves of the fob apart. You will need a flat-head screwdriver, a CR2032 battery, a pencil or precision screwdriver, and your key fob.
Start by toggling the tiny silver switch on the back of your Jeep’s key. This will allow you to remove the internal key.
Now, insert your flat-head screwdriver into the small slot between the two black plastic halves. Gently twist and pry the two halves apart.
Remove the old battery with a pencil or a precision screwdriver. Replace it with a fresh one.
If this does not solve your key fob problems, take the fob to a dealership for closer inspection.
