How do I open a Dodge Ram 2500 hood?
How does one get the Dodge Ram 2500 hood open? I feel like it shouldn’t be this complex, so I must be missing something.

You’re not alone! Car manufacturers often place the hood release lever in inconspicuous places. Many drivers are unsure of where to find theirs until they have to find them.
- Pull the hood release lever. In a Ram 2500, this is located on the underside of the driver’s side dash, to the left of the steering column. It should depict a car with its hood open. Once you pull this lever, your hood will pop up a bit.
- Release the safety latch. The hood won’t open all the way until you release the anchoring latch. The latch will be positioned right around the center of your hood and you’ll want to move it to the left. Once the latch is released, you should be able to fullyopen your hood.
That should just about do it! There isn’t anything super tricky about it, except perhaps finding the safety latch for the first or second time you do it. Other than that, it’s simple! Nearly as simple as using the
