How do I open a 2001 Toyota 4Runner’s gas tank?
I’m borrowing the Toyota 4Runner from my grandmother and have no idea how to get the tank open to fill it up! How do you open the 2001 Toyota 4Runner gas tank?

A special lever or button isn’t necessary to open the gas tank on a 2001 Toyota 4Runner. Simply pull firmly on the tank door and it should open.
Once you have the door open, you can untwist the gas cap by rotating it counter-clockwise. After you add gasoline to the tank, replace the cap and turn it clockwise until you hear a click. Finally, close the door and press it firmly until it is sealed.
