I have a Ford, and I recently heard there were some recalls on a few different models. How do I find out if I’m affected?

It’s important to keep up with recalls to ensure you’re always driving the safest and most efficient version of your car possible. Ford vehicle recalls, like most vehicle recalls, are usually announced in the news and via letters sent to affected Kia owners. To make sure you don’t miss any announced recalls, though, there are a few things you can do:
  • Look up recalls listed on the Ford corporate website
  • Check out recalls on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website
  • Look up recalls on the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) website
  • Visit Kelley Blue Book, click Car Recalls, and input your vehicle’s information, or just search for your make to see all recent recalls.
Ford hasn’t issued any recalls in 2022, but some of the most recent Ford recalls include:
  • Recalls on the 2021 Ford Expedition due to potential engine fire hazard
  • Recall to correct an issue that may cause failure of the driver’s airbag deployment in the 2016 Super Duty
  • Recalls on 2020 Super Duty diesels due to issues with a transmission washer that could cause the vehicle to slip out of park
Making sure you’re prepared for potential problems with your Ford is an excellent way to save money on unexpected repair costs. Another great way to save money is by shopping for car insurance on the Jerry app.
