How do I know which Honda Civic I have?

I’m looking to upgrade to a new Honda Civic, so I want to sell my old one. When I try to look up the value, it asks for the trim level. I have no idea what this is. How do I know which Honda Civic trim I have?

If you want to know which Honda Civic you have, look for a badge on the rear of the car. For modern Civic models, you will have one of the following:
  • LX
  • Sport
  • EX-L
  • Touring
  • Si
The reason that
Kelley Blue Book
asks for your trim is to get a fair value for your car. Different trims have different amenities and engines, which greatly impact the selling price of your Honda Civic.
However, if you have a limited edition, special edition, or a model that’s older than about 10 years, your trim level may vary from those listed above. If you don’t see a badge on the back of your car, use one of the following options to know which Honda Civic you have:
  • Take a look at your title for the trim number.
  • Use your vehicle identification number (VIN) to look up your trim on CarFax.
  • Use your car insurance declarations page, which typically shows which model and trim you have.
Looking up which Honda Civic you have should only take a few minutes. But did you know that you can save hundreds of dollars on car insurance for your new Civic by downloading the
