How do I know what my deductible is for my car insurance policy?

I just bought my first car, which I financed. The dealership said I had to purchase full coverage. I've never really dealt with any of this before, and I'm not sure what my deductible is or where to find it. How do I know what my deductible is?

“Congrats on your first vehicle! Car ownership can feel overwhelming in the beginning, but I’m happy to say that this is an easy answer—you can find your
car insurance deductible
listed on your insurance card as well as on your
declarations page
.
If you don’t have paper copies of these documents, you can find them on your insurance provider’s website, mobile app, or by giving them a call. Once you find your deductible, note that this is the amount you’ll pay out of pocket for damages to your vehicle on either your collision or comprehensive coverage.
If it seems a little much for your budget, remember that it’s always okay to shop around. One of the easiest ways to do this is with the
Jerry
app. We’ll send you customized quotes from the top providers so that you can choose the plan that’s best for you. And the best part–Jerry does this for free.
Congrats again and enjoy the new ride!”
