How do I insure a modified car?

I have a modified Jeep Wrangler. How can I insure it to protect the modifications?

Jeep Wranglers are some of the most modified vehicles on the planet, so insuring yours properly shouldn’t be an issue.
To insure a modified car, add custom parts and equipment coverage on your car insurance. Many car insurance policies come with a base level of custom parts and equipment coverage. This is normally $1,000 of coverage, but the amount can vary.
If you have more modifications than that on your vehicle, add the additional coverage to protect your added investment.
If you’re already insured, you should check with your current car insurance company or review your policy’s declaration page. If you have any custom parts coverage already, you will find it listed here.
If not, request quotes from various insurance companies to find the right coverage for you. Most major companies offer custom parts and equipment coverage, including Progressive and Esurance.
Moreover, by shopping around with insurance broker Jerry, you can find a better rate than what you were previously paying.
