How do I insure a car without a driver's license?

I don't have a driver's license, but my son just got his, and I want to get a family car so he's able to drive! However, since it's a car for the whole family, I do want my name on the title. I know it'll also need insurance, and that's where I'm a little confused—can I get car insurance without a license?

“Congrats to your son—that’s a big milestone! I’m happy to say that you can buy car insurance without a driver’s license.
As a heads up, though,
car insurance
companies may categorize you as a high-risk driver due to your lack of a license. In addition, you’ll need to put your son as the primary driver on the insurance, and you may also have to list yourself as an excluded driver, meaning that you will not be able to drive the car at all. However, if you’re only looking for your son to drive, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue!
To get this insurance, you’ll need to provide all relevant information on your son, such as his:
  • Name
  • Address
  • Driving record
  • Credit history (if applicable)
Once you’ve gathered this information, start shopping around! One of the best ways to make sure you’re getting the best deal on the coverage you need is the

Best of luck, and happy shopping!”
