How do I insure a car for a month?

I'm borrowing my sister's car for a month while I stay with her. How can I make sure I'm covered?

Lucky for you, if your sister has an existing
car insurance
policy, you shouldn’t need your own for coverage. All you’ll need is her permission to use the vehicle.
But there are a lot of nuanced situations that could require you to seek short-term car insurance. Unfortunately, most insurance policies last at least six months, meaning one month of coverage is not officially possible. However, you can purchase a six-month policy and cancel before the end of your policy term. Just be sure to check about cancellation fees with your provider.
Another option is to purchase a
non-owner policy
. This type of policy extends coverage to any vehicle you drive. And, it can be up to 10% cheaper than a standard coverage policy.
Of course, you can always use the

Enjoy your driving!
