How do I install the cold air intake on a 2010 Audi A5 2.0T?

I think there’s a problem with the cold air intake in my car. I want to save a couple of bucks by fixing it myself, can you tell me how to install a cold air intake on a 2010 Audi A5 2.0T?

First things first, you’ll need to buy a 2010
Audi A5
2.0T cold air intake. Depending on where you purchase it, it will cost anywhere between $150 and $400.
Next, with the cold air intake part on hand, it’s time to install it in your car! Here’s a step-by-step on what you’ll need to do:
  • Turn your Audi’s engine off and let it rest until the engine is cool to the touch
  • Remove the battery cable from the negative terminal
  • Take out your old, dysfunctional cold air intake
  • Attach the silicone coupling of the cold air intake to the throttle body
  • Tighten a hose clamp at the end of the coupling to lock it in place
  • Put another hose clamp on the other side of the coupling
  • Slide the intake tube into the silicone coupling, making sure that the intake pipe is running from the throttle bay away from the engine bay.
  • Now, tighten the silicone coupling with a hose clamp
  • Plug the air flow sensor into your newly installed cold air intake system
  • Lastly, reconnect the battery
And that’s it! You’ve just successfully replaced the cold air intake on your 2010 Audi A5 2.0T cold air intake.
