Off-roading sounds like a lot of fun! Since you want to protect what you just refurbished, it makes sense you’d want to install a snorkel. Before you begin, here is a list of tools you’ll need:
  • Snorkel kit (make sure it fits your vehicle)
  • Drill
  • Hole saw set
  • Screwdriver set
  • Socket set
  • Stepper bit
Follow these instructions to install the snorkel on your 1994
Ranger
:
  1. Remove the inner fender lining. Doing so gives you access to your air intake, where you’ll be attaching the snorkel.
  2. Undo all screws and remove the air intake from the fender. There are two on the top, front, and bottom. There are also two screws attaching it to the fender.
  3. Align the snorkel to the body of the vehicle. You can use the template included in the snorkel kit or place it where you’d like. Make sure it clears the door opening.
  4. Drill the holes into the body where the snorkel will attach. Use your stepper bit to make the holes bigger if needed.
  5. Insert screws into the snorkel. Then, place the snorkel tube in the fender and run it to the air intake.
  6. Fasten the bolts attaching the snorkel to the body and attach the snorkel to the air intake box using the included hose clamp.
  7. Bolt your airbox and fender back in place. Attach the air ram to the top of the snorkel tube.
Just like that, you’ve attached a snorkel to your 1994 Ford Ranger! Now you can enjoy off-roading—just make sure you have the proper
