How exciting! Getting your first car is a huge milestone, but it can be overwhelming. To get car insurance, you can start off by requesting
quotes from insurance companies
or using the Jerry
app to compare quotes from over 50 top providers.To start, you’ll first need to have some information ready. You will need to provide your:
- Name
- Age
- Date of birth
- Vehicle identification number (VIN)
- Date you’d like to start your policy
- Desired coverage
After you find a quote you’re happy with, you can purchase your policy! Most companies allow you to purchase a quote directly online. Once purchased, your new insurance company will send you
proof of insurance
that you can give to the dealer.From there, you should be able to take your new car home!
