We’re sorry to hear about your neck pain! Neck pain can definitely occur during long daily drives, but you can overcome it.
If you apply a few of these tips, your neck pain should become a thing of the past:
Adjust your seat so you’re sitting up straight in the driver’s seat.
Make sure your posture is more upright.
Adjust your lumbar support or get a lumbar pillow. Although this pertains to your lower back, it will help your neck as well.
Move your side mirrors and rearview mirror so you aren’t craning your neck.
Use cruise control on your commute and put your feet directly on the floor to help your posture.
Get an eye exam, as poor vision can cause you to crane or twist your neck.
Hopefully, these tips make your neck feel better and you can drive more comfortably. In a worst-case scenario, you may have to visit a doctor or chiropractor temporarily to get an adjustment.
