How do I get mud off my plastic car interior?

I was hiking yesterday when I got hit by an unexpected thunderstorm. I made my way back to the car, but unfortunately, I tracked mud all over my plastic interior. I love my hikes in the forest, but I also love a clean car! What's the best way to get rid of mud?

“Sudden storms are the worst! You’re lucky, however; since you have a plastic car interior, it should be relatively easy to remove the mud. Here’s what to do:
  • If the mud has dried, consider wetting it again with water, or scraping it off. This will make it easy to get all the big chunks off!
  • Use a car interior cleaner. Once the bigger chunks of mud are removed, you can use an interior car cleaner and a sponge to clean off any remaining dirt. If you don’t have a car cleaner, soap and water will work just as well.
  • Dry with a microfiber or lint-free cloth. And that should be all you need to do!
If heavy rainstorms are common in your area, though, you might want to look into getting
flood insurance
. That way, if anything more serious than a bit of mud ever happens to you or your car, you’ll be covered!
