How do I get insurance when I'm shopping for a car?

I'm in the beginning stages of buying a car. I've heard that I should have insurance when I drive out of the lot with it, so I want to get a policy set up, too. I've never done this by myself before, though, and I'm a little overwhelmed. How do I shop for insurance and a car at the same time?

“Kudos to you for thinking ahead in terms of coverage! If you want to shop for car insurance at the same time, the easiest way is to let
Jerry
do all the legwork for you. Download the app, compare customized quotes from top providers, and you can find the cheapest coverage for your needs.
However, you’ll also need to provide some information, including:
  • Your driving history
  • Vehicle information (in as much detail as possible)
  • What type of coverage you want, as you will need full coverage if you’re taking out a loan
  • The deductible you want
Once you have this information, you can choose the right
type of Insurance
