How do I get dog hair out of car mats?

My dog loves going for car rides, but his hair gets everywhere. Is there a good way for me to get the dog hair out of my car mats?

Answer
Dogs are fun, but cleaning up after them can be frustrating! Luckily, you can use either of these methods to get dog hair out of your car mats:
  • You can roll a lint roller or a ring of duct tape over the carpets to pull out dirt, hairs, and crumbs. It may take a little time and some elbow grease, but it’s a cheap option for getting rid of dog hair.
  • Alternatively, you could vacuum your car mats to suck up any dog hair that’s trapped in your mats. Many vacuum cleaners come with a flat, deep cleaning attachment for this very purpose.
Of course, your best options will always be preventative. You can dog proof your car by installing car seat covers or getting a dog car seat for your pooch. With either of these preventative options, you’ll cut your cleaning time in half!
To offset the price of a new dog car seat, start saving on car insurance with Jerry.
