How do I get commercial car insurance?

I plan to start using my car for business. I know that my normal car insurance policy won't cover it. How do I get commercial insurance?

Answer
Yes, you’re correct! Personal car insurance policies won’t cover frequent business use or a vehicle used only for business. But good news for you: getting commercial insurance is no different than a personal auto policy!
Since you’re using your car for business, you should see if your current insurance company offers commercial insurance. Most major companies, like Progressive and Nationwide, offer commercial insurance.
In some cases, you may even be able to bundle your personal auto with the commercial policy to save money.
If your current company doesn’t offer commercial insurance, check with other providers in your area. Switching to a different company for both your personal and commercial insurance may provide the coverage you require at cut-rate prices.
While you can bundle your policies with the same company, you may need two separate policies per your insurance company.
