How do I get blood out of a car's interior?

I was in a car accident about a month ago. The car didn't need too much exterior work—however, not to get too graphic, I ended up getting blood all over my front seat. I'm on the mend now and my car is up and running, but I need to clean up the blood before I'll feel comfortable driving it anywhere. What's the best way to get blood stains out?

“That sounds like a pretty terrifying accident; I’m sorry that happened to you. You can remove blood stains from your car’s interior with common homemade solutions.
Here are some common solutions:
  • Create a saltwater solution by diluting two tablespoons of salt in a cup of water.
  • Use a similar ratio, but with water and baking soda.
  • Use hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol.
  • Squeeze a lemon or a lime on the stain.
  • Mix meat tenderizer (surprisingly effective!) and water into a thick paste.
Once you’ve put one of these on the stain, dab it (don’t scrub!) with towel. Repeat until the stain is gone.
Hopefully, you had
medical payments (MedPay)
on your car insurance to help pay for any injuries. If not, you may want to check new insurance quotes on the
Jerry
app so you don’t have to pay for medical bills out of pocket in the future. Jerry will send you customized quotes in minutes so that all you have to do is choose the plan that works best for you.
Best of luck with cleaning, and here’s hoping your recovery continues smoothly!”
