How do I get a no objection certificate (NOC) for my car loan?

I've been told I need a NOC after I finish paying off my car loan. How do I get one?

“A NOC certifies that you have repaid a car loan and no dues are outstanding. After you have paid for your auto loan in full, contact your lender and they will send you a NOC by mail. Some lenders do allow customers to obtain a NOC online as well.
