How do I get a duplicate of my car insurance?

I’ve lost the paperwork for my car insurance. How do I get another copy?

“While I’m sure you’re stressed, don’t worry! You should be able to get another copy of your
car insurance
 policy.
As most documents get sent electronically, see if your insurance company has a website or an app. If you have an online account, you can download a pdf copy of your policy. Otherwise, you can also check your email, mail, or call your insurance company directly.
The information you’ll see when you’ve found the right document is:
  • Your name and address
  • The insurance company name
  • The insured vehicle’s year and make
  • Effective dates (usually a six or 12-month term)
  • Your
    policy number
To avoid losing your policy information in the future, check out the
