How do I fix hail damage to a car with primer?

We got a bit of hail last week and I just noticed there are a few light scratches on my car. How do I fix hail damage to a car with primer?

Oh no, hail damage! There is a polyester primer surfacer that some repair shops use to fix hail damage to a car.
You should hire a skilled technician for this service. To get the best results, they will sand, feather edge, block sand, fill, and paint the dented area. Dent repair techniques may also be applied to lift any dings.
Poly primers are a good alternative to panel replacement or expensive PDR (paintless dent repair). However, they’re only useful in certain situations. Dents and scratches must be small enough to accept the primer.
If you are determined to attempt a DIY fix, look for a high-build primer. Bear in mind that dents can create a crater with a raised lip, so be careful when sanding before and after. Wear protective gear and work in a well-ventilated area.
Comprehensive coverage
should include hail damage. If you have this type of car insurance, consider filing a claim to help cover repair costs.
Hope this helps! Good luck with your car.
