If the cracks are relatively small and not very deep, you can try applying a leather conditioner to the material. This can really help with dried-out leather.
If this process doesn’t help, try using a leather dye and/or filler. Here’s how:
First, sand the clean, dry leather with a fine sandpaper.
If the cracks are deep, apply leather filler with a palette knife to fill in the cracks. Remove any excess paste.
Once the filler is dry, sand the surface again before you apply the leather dye.
Let the dye dry. If you want to speed up the process, use a hairdryer on the lowest setting.
You can apply more dye if you need to! Once you feel you’ve covered the cracks, rub in a sealer with a sponge to prevent any further cracking or staining.
