How do I find out who I have car insurance with?

I’ve had policies with a lot of different insurance providers in the past, so I don’t remember where I have my current policy. How do I find that out?

It can be hard to keep track of your insurance policy, especially if you’ve changed providers frequently.
The first step is to look for a current
car insurance
ID card. Typically, people keep these in a glove compartment or another place they can easily access. This will have your provider’s information on it.
If you can’t find that, do a quick search of your emails or credit card statements as you may find a record of any recent payments to providers.
Another option would be to contact the DMV. Your local DMV keeps track of your car insurance history over the lifetime of your car. Contact the DMV and give them your car’s VIN, and they should be able to track down your insurance information.
One way to keep track of your insurance information in the future is by downloading the free Jerry app.
Jerry app
will compare rates from over 50 of the top insurance companies for you in under a minute. The best part? Since Jerry stores all of your policy information and documents in the app, you will have access to your policy information 24 hours a day.
