Don’t worry! People misplace their policy cards all the time. Just be sure to get a replacement quickly, as you could get a ticket if you don’t have
proof of insurance
on you.
Generally, people keep ID cards somewhere safe in their car, so double-check the following locations to see if it’s there:
  • The glovebox
  • Inside your car manual
  • The visor
  • Your wallet
If you remember which company you have a policy with, you can always give them a call and ask. Most companies give you access to your policy documents online, as well.
You can also check your email as many companies now send policy documents electronically.
If you still can’t find your information, check with your local DMV. They may have a record of it.
In the future, consider getting an insurance policy through the
Jerry
app. Jerry not only finds you the best insurance rates but also keeps track of your policy information. You always have a copy of your ID card in your pocket with Jerry!
