How do I find out what my car warranty covers?

What do car warranties cover? I had to get my car fixed recently, and I wanted to know if my warranty would cover the costs. How I could find that out?

I’m sorry to hear about your car. Luckily, there are a couple of easy ways to find out what your car warranty covers.
  • Contact your dealership: Your dealership should have all the answers you’re looking for provided you give them your vehicle identification number (VIN). It is likely located on the driver’s side of the windshield or on your door jamb. Look for a combination of numbers and letters.
  • Browse CARFAX: If the dealership was no help or if you couldn’t find your VIN, then you could get your vehicle’s history report through CARFAX. This report often lists the car’s warranty information, too.
Keep in mind that if you bought a used car, the manufacturer’s warranty might not be transferable. You’ll need to read the fine print or consult the dealership or manufacturer for further details.
You could also check if your damage is covered by insurance. Read your policy documents carefully or reach out to one of Jerry’s friendly agents for help. Download the app to send us a text or call an agent today at 1-833-445-3779.
Hope this helps!
