How do I find my car that has been towed?

I went out with some friends the other night and needed to take a cab home. When I came back to the bar the next day, my car was gone! How do I find out where my car has been towed to?

Having your car towed is the worst! To find your car, start by looking for towing signs in the area your car was towed. They may provide information on which tow yard is responsible for dealing with that location.
If you don’t see a towing sign, ask any nearby businesses if they recently towed a car. If you find out they had you towed, you can ask them which towing service they use. Alternatively, you can always call your local non-emergency police number to locate your vehicle.
When you find out where your car is, get to the impound lot as soon as possible! Impound lots charge fees for every day they keep your car, and those can add up fast.
Once you have your car, do a thorough inspection to make sure there is no damage. If you find some, call your insurance company and put in a
collision coverage
claim. If you don’t have collision coverage, it may be time to find a better car insurance policy!
