I was on the phone with my friend who just got into an accident. She was stressed about her car insurance. I suddenly realized I have no idea about my insurance! I recently moved and I can't remember if I updated my policy or when it expires. How do I find my insurance information?

Moving is stressful, so understandably, remembering to update everything is difficult. Thankfully, you have several ways to find your
car insurance
information.If you can remember the company your insurance is with, log into an online account or app. Most car insurance companies offer online and electronic policy documents, so you can likely find all your insurance information there.
If you can’t log in, check your email! In the spirit of going green, insurance companies now opt for paperless policy documents. You likely received an email copy of your
policy declaration page
or ID cards. Both of these documents will list your:- Policy number
- Policy term dates
- Insured vehicle
Your declaration page will also list your address and coverages associated with your policy.
If you can’t find anything in your email, call your insurance company directly. As long as you know what company you use, an agent can look up your policy information for you. If you forgot to update your address or policy information when you moved, an agent can help.
