I am planning to sell my car soon, and I was told I should have a record of my car insurance history. How do I find the car insurance history of my vehicle?

You can generally find your
car insurance
history by contacting your DMV. The DMV will keep a record of your car insurance, provided you are looking for policies for the same vehicle.When you call the DMV, you’ll need the VIN of your vehicle and any other identification information, like your car registration. A DMV agent should be able to provide you with any relevant information, including past insurance providers.
If that doesn’t work, you can also search for new car insurance quotes. Even though you don’t need a new policy, looking for new quotes will allow an agent to run a CLUE report. This report will give you a summary of your car insurance history.
If you purchase a vehicle in the future, you’ll need a new car insurance policy.
