How do I find a list of cars I previously owned?

I'm trying to set up a stock brokerage account, and it keeps asking me about cars I owned, but I can't remember all of them. Is there a way to see a list of all cars I have owned?

This is a common problem. Many brokerages and other similar types of investment companies often require you to verify your identity by listing cars you previously owned. This allows companies to use your information to make sure you are who you say you are.
However, if you’re a forgetful person or have owned several cars, remembering all of your prior rides can be a hassle. Fortunately, you have some options to get the information you need:
  • Contact the DMV with the license plate number
  • Use the VIN (if you have it)
  • Contact your insurance company (or whatever insurance you used when you owned the car)
One of these three methods should yield results. If you’re going to contact your
car insurance
company, it may be time to reevaluate their prices. If you can’t get them to reduce your premium, a visit to

might be in order. Download the app, sign up in a few minutes, and compare quotes to get the best rates for your vehicle.
