I want to disable Onstar GPS tracking on my vehicle to maintain privacy. How do I disable Onstar GPS tracking?

You can call Onstar to cancel the service at any time or disable the GPS tracking device by following these steps:
  • Step 1: Turn off your car and open the trunk.
  • Step 2: Lift the trunk liner.
  • Step 3: Remove the spare tire.
  • Step 4: Unscrew and remove the trunk sill plate.
  • Step 5: Pull off the trunk shell to access the Onstar device.
  • Step 6: Disconnect the wires and unplug the Onstar device.
  • Step 7: Reinstall your vehicle’s trunk components.
