. Here are some tips to ensure that your experience with an adjuster goes as smoothly as possible:- Document the accident: Take pictures of the damage to your car and make a police report. The more evidence the adjuster has, the better.
- Make your claim right away: If you don’t make your claim quickly, the adjuster may not be able to attribute your car’s damage to the accident.
- Document conversations: Have an accurate record of your conversations with the adjuster—consider taking notes or recording your conversations in case disputes arise in the future.
- Don’t lie: Adjusters are trained to find the truth and determine fair settlements. If they catch you in a lie, it could hurt the outcome of your claim.
