How do I cover my car to protect it from the sun?

How can I protect my car from the sun? I live in South Carolina and I've noticed that my car's paint is starting to fade.

“Covered parking is the best way to protect your car from the sun in South Carolina. But if that’s not an option, you can buy a car cover.
You can also keep the interior of your car from
getting scorched
 by using a sun visor or tinting the windows. This will protect your dashboard and seats from cracks and discoloration.
Unfortunately, warranties don’t typically cover paint damage (unless it’s a manufacturer defect), and your insurance is unlikely to either. That said, it’s never a bad idea to evaluate your car insurance policy and make sure you’re getting the best price.
