How do I contact Toyota customer service?

What’s a good way to contact Toyota customer service? I'm having some mechanical problems with my Prius, and I want to see if I still have a warranty.

To contact Toyota customer service you can call, send an email, or mail a letter. While each of these methods should work, they can be complicated and time-consuming. Before you spend time getting in touch, check their FAQ page to see if your question has already been answered.
If you do need to get in touch, here are some pros and cons of each method:
  • Calling. This method is probably your best option. However, calls can have long wait times, and Toyota’s call centers aren’t open on Sundays. You’ll need to call in the week between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM ET or on Saturday between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM ET.
  • Emailing. While you’ll likely get a quick response with this method, it will depend on who answers you. If they feel like taking a few days to respond, then you’ll need to wait a few days. Emailing will leave you stuck communicating on their time.
  • Mail. The mail method is tried and true but somewhat dated. Communication is ultimately slow, and you probably won’t get the information you need in a single correspondence. You’ll probably be better off communicating by phone or email.
