come with standard connectivity, so you won’t need to connect to WiFi to make software updates. However, if that’s too slow for you, here’s how to connect your Tesla to a nearby WiFi connection:
On the touchscreen, tap on the LTE icon to start searching for WiFi networks.
Press the WiFi you want to connect to.
Enter the passport and confirm your connection.
Confirm that you’re connected to WiFi when you see the WiFi icon. Tesla’s basic internet connectivity provides you with maps and navigation services as well as software updates.
If you want to use features like video or audio streaming services, traffic visualization, or satellite-view maps, then you’ll need premium connectivity, which you can subscribe to through the Tesla app on your smartphone.
