How can I connect my phone to a Honda CR-V?

My dad needs to take calls in the car sometimes, and he always makes me hold it while he talks on speaker-phone. I’d like to connect his phone to the car, so he can take the calls himself. What steps should I take to connect my dad’s phone to his Honda CR-V?

Follow these steps to connect your phone to your Honda CR-V:
  • Start by turning on your car, but leave it in park.
  • Press the phone button on the display screen.
  • A prompt should appear to ask if you’d like to add a device—select Yes.
  • Navigate to the settings menu on your phone and activate Bluetooth.
  • When your phone appears on the car display, select it.
  • A code should appear on your smartphone and Honda display. If they match, then you’re connecting to the correct device.
  • Select the Pair option on your Honda display and give them a moment to connect.
If you follow these steps, you shouldn’t have any trouble pairing your phone and Honda.
If you do have an issue: Try resetting your phone or changing the name of your device in your Bluetooth settings before starting the process over.
