We hear you—these days, there’s more and more technology to figure out in a new car. Luckily for you, it’s not tricky to connect your iPhone via Bluetooth to Ford’s SYNC system. Here’s what you need to do:
  • Turn your Ford on, but keep it in PARK.
  • Enable Bluetooth on your iPhone.
  • Select SYNC on your Ford’s touchscreen and scroll to Phone.
  • Press Add a Device.
  • Give your iPhone a moment to scan for devices and press SYNC.
  • Verify that the six-digit PINs on both screens match.
To finish the Bluetooth setup, press PAIR on your iPhone and YES on your Ford touchscreen. Now, you’re all set to stream music, send and receive hands-free texts or phone calls, and use the navigation system.
If you ever want to remove your iPhone from SYNC, go into settings on your iPhone and select Bluetooth. Press the i icon next to SYNC and choose Forget This Device.
Pat yourself on the back for getting this technological task out of the way! For bonus points, contact your
car insurance
provider and ask if they offer any
car insurance discounts
for safe driving. Hands-free device usage helps reduce distracted driving, and most insurers give premium discounts for avoiding tickets.
