How do I connect Bluetooth to a Ford Fusion?

I have a Ford Fusion. I’m certain it comes with Bluetooth, but I have no idea how to set it up and can’t find my owner’s manual. What steps do I need to take to connect Bluetooth to a Fusion?

If your Ford Fusion indeed has Bluetooth, setting it up is easy and only takes about a minute or two. Follow these steps to connect Bluetooth to a Ford Fusion:
  1. Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  2. Press the phone button on the car’s SYNC touchscreen.
  3. Select Add Phone.
  4. Look for Ford Fusion on the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone. Select it.
  5. Make sure that the PIN that comes up on your phone matches the one displayed on the infotainment screen.
  6. Select yes on the infotainment screen.
  7. Press Pair on your phone.
Depending on the model year and trim, your Ford Fusion may have Bluetooth audio streaming, but all models will have voice recognition and hands-free calling. In 2007, Ford became one of the first car brands to introduce Bluetooth with Ford SYNC, which was phased out at the beginning of 2013 and has since been replaced with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
