How do I connect Bluetooth to a 2009 Ford Flex?

My brother got a new car and is giving me his 2009 Ford Flex so I can drive myself to high school this fall. I’m not sure what features it has, though. Can I connect my phone with Bluetooth?

What a nice brother! The good news is that the 2009
Ford Flex
has Bluetooth and it’s relatively simple to connect your phone. Follow these steps to pair with the SYNC multimedia system:
  1. Activate Bluetooth on your phone so it is discoverable
  2. On the SYNC screen, select Phone > Add Phone
  3. On your phone, select the Ford SYNC option from the Bluetooth menu and enter the displayed PIN from the car’s screen if prompted
  4. Confirm the pairing request. Your phone and Ford Flex should now be connected
Once your phone and SYNC system are paired, you should be able to stream audio, make calls, and use other hand-free features. Just make sure you aren’t breaking any
distracted driving
laws by using your phone on the road!
