How do I clear the oil change message on a 2016 Ford Focus?
I just got my oil changed this week but the oil change indicator on my Focus won’t go away. How do I turn the oil change light off?

“This is a very common problem with a very easy solution. (Hooray for small victories!)
To reset the oil change indicator on your 2016 Ford Focus:
- Put your parking brake on.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON, but do not start the car.
- Press the gas and brake pedals for about 25 seconds until you see a message indicating that the service oil reset has been completed.
- Take your feet off the pedals and your oil indicator should be reset.
If the issue with your indicator persists, you might have a more serious problem on your hands. It’s likely time to take your car to the mechanic.
