How do I clear presets from a BMW 650?
My BMW 650 has been a great ride, but I’m moving in with my spouse now, and we need a car, not a bike. I’m planning on selling it, but I need to remove all the personal information first. I’m just not sure about how to wipe all my presets from my bike. How can I clear presets from my BMW 650?

Congratulations on moving in with your spouse; that’s a big step!
To clear presets from a BMW 650, start by making sure the bike’s engine is off. Here’s what to do:
- Make sure the bike isn’t going anywhere. In addition to turning the engine off, make sure the BMW 650 is in Park or Neutral.
- Find the keypad. The keypad should be a small black box to the right of the handlebars and near the front wheel.
- Clear the presets. To clear your presets, simply press down on the Lock and Unlock buttons at the same time.
Once you’ve done this, your presets should be cleared, and your bike should be ready to sell!
