It can be frustrating to drive with a dirty windshield.
Car maintenance
is an important part of owning a car. There’s a couple of different solutions you can use. Companies often make glass cleaner specifically for cars, or if you want a homemade solution, try the following mixture:Equal parts rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol)
White vinegar (1 cupful from the cap)
Whenever cleaning or using chemicals, do not get it in your eyes or ingest it. You may want a mask, goggles, and gloves as you never know when you might be allergic to something.
Do not use any cleaning solution that includes ammonia. Ammonia can damage parts of your car including, but not limited to, vinyl, leather, and window tints.
To get a streak-free window use a clean and dry microfiber cloth to dry off your windshield. Spray the solution onto the microfiber cloth and clean the glass—think “The Karate Kid’s” circular motions of wipe on, wipe off. Go over the glass one more time with a clean dry cloth with an up and down motion to make sure it’s completely dry and streak-free.
If you need any other maintenance for your car while you’re on the road—whether it’s lockout services, tire changes, jump starts, key replacements, and more—try a Jerry
roadside assistance membership.
