How do I claim vandalism on my car insurance?
My car was spray painted while parked at a friend's house. I want to put a claim in for vandalism. How do I do that?

comprehensive coverage
on your insurance policy, you can submit a claim for vandalism. Comprehensive coverage covers a variety of things that aren’t related to a collision with an object or vehicle and commonly includes:- Fire
- Theft
- Windstorm
- Hail
- Flood
- Contact with a bird or animal
Before submitting a claim to your
car insurance company
, get a repair estimate. Since comprehensive and collision claims are subject to a deductible, your insurance will only kick in after you pay your deductible. If the repairs are less than your deductible, you have to pay for the damage out of pocket.If you don’t have comprehensive coverage, you would also be responsible for covering the damage. If future damage from vandalism or theft is a concern, you may want to consider adding comprehensive insurance.
