How do I choose a good car battery?

I have a 2016 Honda Accord that refused to start this morning. Turns out the battery died. I want to go to AutoZone to pick up a new battery, but I don’t really know what I should be looking for. How can I tell which battery to buy for my car?

“I’m so sorry to hear about your Accord. Dead batteries can be both inconvenient and stressful.
To choose the best battery for your car, you’ll need to consider:
  • Battery specifications: Every car has specific battery requirements. Consult your car manual or seek help from a professional to make sure you’re purchasing the right one.
  • Battery quality: The more expensive the battery is, the longer it will probably last. Opt for brand-name products within your budget.
  • Dealer reputation: Purchase the battery from a reputable retailer to ensure it’s legit (plus it’ll probably come with a warranty). Big-name stores like AutoZone are a good choice!
While you’re there, you can always ask an employee for assistance—some stores even offer complimentary installation!
If your car won’t start when you’re out and about, a roadside assistance membership would serve you well. With
