How do I check tire pressure on a Nissan Versa?

I have a Nissan Versa that’s been pulling quite a bit to the left lately. While the tire pressure monitoring system isn’t on, I want to check the tires in case there’s a quick and easy fix for the problem. I’ve just never checked tire pressure before—how do I do it on a Nissan Versa?

Tire pressure is a great place to start if your car is listing one way or the other! Checking tire pressure on a Nissan Versa is surprisingly easy, and it should only take you about a minute per tire. To check tire pressure on the Nissan Versa, follow these simple steps:
  1. Turn the Versa to ACC or accessories mode.
  2. Exit the vehicle and look inside the door jamb to get the proper PSI (pounds per square inch) tire pressure rating.
  3. Unscrew the valve stem.
  4. Press the
    tire gauge
onto the valve stem to get an accurate PSI rating.
  5. Use compressed air to fill the tires or the backside of the tire gauge to release air.
  6. Check all your tires just to make sure everything is good.
