How do I check tire pressure on a Jeep Grand Cherokee?

I just bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee and after skimming through the owner’s manual I can’t seem to find information about checking tire pressure. How can I check tire pressure on my Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Low tire pressure can be a little worrisome, but fear not! Checking tire pressure on a
Jeep Grand Cherokee
is a no-brainer because the vehicle’s Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TMPS) checks itself.
When the Grand Cherokee’s TPMS detects low air in one or more of the tires, you’ll hear a chime sound and see the
Low Tire Pressure Warning Light
turn on. Then, the Tire Pressure Monitoring Display screen on the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel will show a digital image of your vehicle with a real-time psi reading for each tire.
From this reading, you should be able to tell right away if one or more tires need air. The manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure levels are on the sticker inside the driver’s door panel. You can also check the tire pressure on your Jeep manually with a tire pressure gauge. Remove the valve stem cap of the tire and press the gauge into the valve stem—the gauge reading will indicate whether you need to add air to any of the tires.
