I’ve had my BMW for about a year now, and I know I should get the oil checked, but I don’t really want to pay a mechanic to check it. How do I check my BMW’s oil myself?
Turn your vehicle on. Let your car run, making sure you’re on level ground.
Click through the display options beneath your gauges. Keep clicking until you see the oil lamp.
Press the BC button. A clock with moving hands should appear on the screen. When the hands of the clock stop moving, you should see the oil level.
Check the motor oil level. If you see a +1, it’s time to add more oil. If it reads MAX, you’re all set.
And that’s all you need to do!
Once your oil levels are all set to go, consider reviewing your car insurance policy to ensure every aspect of your car is taken care of. To do this easily, check out the
