The name of your insurance carrier is listed on your insurance card and any other policy documents that you received when you signed up for your policy. Drivers are legally required to carry
proof of insurance
with them anytime they drive, so if you can’t find these documents, you will need to request new ones just as soon as you figure out the name of your carrier.
Some other places to look for the name of your car insurance carrier are:
  • Your bank statements, which will have records of your car insurance payments
  • Your local DMV office
If you haven’t looked at your insurance in a while, you might be paying more than you need to for your policy. If you want to see what other rates are out there, check out the
Jerry
app. Jerry will collect insurance quotes for you for free, so you can compare rates and coverages in a matter of minutes.
