How do I check if my Honda is still under warranty?

I bought my Honda CR-V in 2020, and it seemed like a great car. But now I’m worried something is wrong with the transmission. How can I check to see if my Honda is still under warranty?

Because your car is only a couple of years old, your
Honda CR-V
should still be covered by the factory warranty and the powertrain warranty.
Here’s how to check if a
Honda
is still under warranty:
  • Check the warranty booklet that came with your new Honda.
  • If you don’t have the booklet, visit the
    Honda Warranty Information
website. You’ll need to provide your car’s make and model year.
  • Call Honda customer service at 1-800-999-1009.
Honda’s new car factory warranty lasts for three years or 36,000 miles. The limited powertrain warranty, which is what would cover your transmission, is valid for five years or 60,000 miles. If your years of ownership and mileage fall within those limits, you should be covered.
Honda’s new car warranty can handle your car’s transmission, but it doesn’t offer the
same types of protection as car insurance
. The best way to find high-quality,
