I’m so sorry about your accident! Luckily, if you’re trying to confirm another driver’s insurance, you have a few options.
The easiest way is to ask them directly—but if you forgot, don’t despair! Contact your local police non-emergency line to get their insurance information from the accident report, or check with the DMV, which has information on all insured drivers.
Once you have their information, contact your insurance provider. From there, you should be able to file a claim.
