, charging it is simple. To charge a Toyota Camry Hybrid battery, start the car and let it run for 20 minutes. Then, drive around for a bit to add more charge from regenerative braking.If this doesn’t work, you can also use a battery charger. Simply attach the red cable of the battery charger to the battery fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Clamp the black cable to a piece of metal to act as the ground.
Let the battery charge for one to two hours for a full charge. If neither of these methods work or the battery is almost kaput, you may need to replace it. Since a battery replacement can cost as much as $5,000, it’s a good idea to save some cash leading up to the battery replacement.
